Patrick Kelly

Patrick brings fifteen years of law enforcement experience as a member of the NYPD and the Nassau County Police Department, where he served in a wide range of assignments including Patrol, Highway Patrol, and Motor Carrier Enforcement. As a New York State certified Firearms Instructor, he oversees entry-level, in-service, and advanced firearms training for law enforcement personnel and Upfront Security Associates staff. He is a TASER Corp. certified instructor, a certified Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) instructor, and holds numerous additional certifications from the FBI, Colt, and Glock.

Alongside his law enforcement career, Patrick is a twenty-one-year member of the United States Marine Corps, active and reserve, currently holding the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. As an Infantry Officer, he has accumulated extensive training and combat operations experience, deploying four times in support of post-9/11 U.S. military operations, including Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Inherent Resolve (the ISIS campaign). 

His personal decorations include the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with Gold Star in lieu of a second award), the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with Combat "V" valor device), and the Combat Action Ribbon. He is also the recipient of numerous unit and campaign awards, among them the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal.

Patrick is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, where he earned a B.S. in Marine Engineering. He joined Upfront Security Associates in 2024, bringing with him a long-standing relationship with the firm's executive team built through years of law enforcement cooperation and shared ties to the Long Island community.
